From Valsugana to Bolzano via Trento
Art, history and culture
The Trentino holiday is not just nature, trekking, sport and relaxation. Our area offers numerous opportunities for those of you who love city life and historical artistic itineraries.
Pergine Valsugana, surrounded by the waters of Lake Caldonazzo and dominated by the Castle hill, is a charming historic town with aristocratic buildings and old churches.
Not to be missed: the School Museum, the Museum of agricultural tools and Pergine's castle. Trento is just 10 km away from our facility, and a visit here should not be left out of your cultural stay in Trentino visiting museums and historical buildings of special interest. Surrounded by mountains, this city captures your attention thanks to its typical Alpine charm, don't miss a visit to the Cathedral of San Vigilio in Piazza del Duomo, together with the famous Neptune fountain that highlights the charm of the surrounding buildings that house shops, restaurants and cafés; the Diocesan Museum of Trento; the Church of Santa Maria Maggiore; the Buonconsiglio Castle; the Palazzo delle Albere in Trento and the brand new Science Museum MUSE, which will leave both adults and children speechless.
For those of you who prefer to go further afield, then a visit to Bolzano, the capital of South Tyrol, a place of meeting and interchange between different cultures is just the thing. In art, for example, works by Giotto co-exist with Gothic art works, while in architecture the striking contrast between the historic city and the new city, which are divided by the River Talvera, certainly catches your eye. There are numerous artistic and cultural places of interest in Bolzano, including churches, monuments, streets and squares, museums and castles.
